I love knitting scarves because they’re so simple and pretty quick. The first is one I knitted for my friend’s birthday, which has already passed but she really wanted one. I freaked out when this scarf was about 75% done because the bold colour and busy design are probably difficult to like by few other than myself but then I decided that if she doesn’t like it, tough. It’s a little shorter than I’d have liked but I ran out of time because I’m going on the plane tomorrow. I used Bernat Super Value and the Braided Cable Scarf pattern.
The next two show the colour best (left) and the detail (right).
This next one is My So Called Scarf using Caron Simply Soft on size 11 needles (8mm). I love this scarf because it was really quick and easy to knit and it really is soft! Also, it goes with most of my clothes and it was cheap because the yarn was left over from a Slytherin scarf I made ages ago.
And finally, a chevron scarf using acrylic yarn from my stash. I like this scarf because the colours are so cool together – they were supposed to be 70s inspired but it didn’t really turn out that way. The stitch is really easy but it looks quite difficult so my friends think I am very talented!
